KELLY’S Storage Charity Events are thrilled to welcome Paralympian Rachel Morris to the Kelly’s Cycle Challenge on Sunday, May 14.

The event will help raise money for Challengers, a charity dedicated to enabling disabled children and young people to have fun, make friends and develop, as well as striving to change the way people think about disability.

Rachel, a Paralympic gold medallist, has been a patron of Challengers since 2013. She became involved with the charity because she wanted to inspire disabled children to think big.

Challengers’ chief executive Laura Sercombe said: “We are hugely privileged to have such an inspirational patron in Rachel. She is extremely generous with her time and we are thrilled she is joining us for the Kelly’s Cycle Challenge.”

Rachel will be at headquarters in Alice Holt for the morning of the event. She will be more than happy to have her photo taken with entrants arriving to participate. There will be three distances, 25, 54 and 74 miles, all on quiet country roads as well as two children’s events.

There is an off road and forest ride suitable for six years plus, accompanied by an adult and a children’s Fun Field Challenge with obstacles – suitable for any age.

There will be stalls and activities to cater for all the needs of the cyclists and spectators who come to enjoy the atmosphere and cheer the cyclists in.

In addition, this family-friendly event has also gained support from local businesses who will be attending on the day.

These include Farnham Chiropractic Wellness Centre which will provide massage as cyclists return and Farnham’s natural kitchen, Nourish, which will be supplying all the feed stations on the route with sweet treats.

Kelly’s Storage Charity Events cover all the costs of this event thus ensuring that every penny donated will go directly to Challengers. More info about its work can be found at www.disabilty-challengers.org.
