A POPULAR Farnham pensioner, who was born and bred in Farnham, has been killed while attempting to cross the road close to her home in Weybourne. Doris Dyer, 91 who was born in Hale and had lived in Weybourne for 54 years, was involved in a collision with a white Nissan Micra while trying to cross Weybourne Road near the The Elm Tree pub at around 5.15 pm on Tuesday. Doris, know as Dolly by friends and family, died from her injuries at the scene. Police say the female driver of the Nissan Micra was unhurt during the incident and are currently investigating the circumstances that led to Dolly's death.
