DEVELOPMENT without adequate road infrastructure was a bone of contention at Alton Town Council's electors meeting

Introducing the subject was Chawton Park Road woman Eileen Norris who used her road as an example of an unclassified residential 'rat run' which had no traffic-calming measures and yet was subject to accelerated use, both in terms of volume and speed.
