An emerging artist from UCA Farnham with a line in challenging anti-immigrant sentiment is the latest to take over a bijou gallery in Frensham.

The “Last Call” installation by Freya McDonald will appear inside the Frensham Red Cube Gallery – otherwise known as the St Mary’s phone box – until Sunday, October 5.

It’s a screen print on cotton with the artist using collage, textiles and video to blend the “aesthetics of protest with a gallery space.”

Freya is a third-generation immigrant whose work details the “intertwining complexities of social justice, migration and the climate crisis.”

She repurposes second-hand, recycled or sustainable material into art with a focus on banner making and image reproduction.
