AN application by the former Mayor of Farnham Jeremy Ricketts for nine luxury homes at Old Park Stables in the countryside north of Farnham has been thrown out by Waverley Borough Council.

Waverley’s western planning committee dismissed the application - which also proposed demolishing the disused stable buildings and remediating the contaminated land - over concerns for its impact on the historic countryside forming part of Farnham’s ancient deer park, as well as the viability of Park Farm and the adjacent Old Park bridleway.
