Surrey Police have appealed for witnesses following a series of burglaries in Farnham.

On Tuesday, May 14 from 10.15pm to 11pm five sheds or garages were targeted at addresses in Upper Hale and Lower Hale. Police believe the offences are linked and that tools were the common target.

Anyone with CCTV, dash cam or helmet cam footage that might have captured any part of the offences or were in the area at the stated times are urged to contact police. Directly message the police quoting PR/45240054847 on Facebook.

Police tips for shed and garage security include:

  • Heavy-duty padlock with no exposed screws
  • Wire mesh or grill on windows
  • Battery-operated shed alarm that responds to movement or contact with the door
  • Insurance cover for contents in the shed or outbuildings from theft
  • Keeping shed and garage doors locked at all times when not in use
