WEST Street Potters will host its winter exhibition ‘Feat of Clay’ next weekend at the Daniel Hall Scout hut in Farnham town centre.

The exhibition will open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, November 14 and 15, between 10am and 4pm, featuring new work by both beginners and experienced potters covering many of the ceramic disciplines.

Entry to the exhibition is free and this year’s grand raffle prize is a jug thrown and gifted to West Street Potters by renowned potter Jeremy Leach.

Jeremy visited the group’s workshops at the historic Farnham Pottery in Wrecclesham last winter and enjoyed throwing an array of pots.

Throughout the year West Street Potters members enjoy weekly gas reduction firings as well as Raku, numerous smoke firings and the occasional pit firing. Feat of Clay will display many examples of these firing processes.

A spokesman for West Street Potters said: “This is a great weekend for clay work, coinciding with Art in Clay at the Farnham Maltings, so why not stretch your legs, explore Farnham a little more and follow the ceramic arrows up Downing Street and through Hart’s Yard, to the Daniel Hall.”
