A GREATHAM Primary School teacher has been selected to represent the area as one of Hampshire’s leading foundation stage practitioners.
Senior staff said the school was proud to announce that reception-class teacher Kim Taylor was leading the way in East Hampshire.
The leading foundation stage practitioners scheme sees representatives from each county district share their ideas and provide support for all early years practitioners.
Their work includes: offering advice to practitioners in early years settings (including reception classes); supporting the development of their own early years foundation-stage environment; visiting other providers, and welcoming practitioners into their own schools.
“Our early years provision was judged to be ‘good’ by Ofsted in November 2017 and the accolade of leading foundation-stage practitioner is the next step in our achievements,” school headteacher Jo Goman said, adding: “Kim worked incredibly hard to improve provision in early years and will thoroughly enjoy sharing her good practice with others.”
