A LANE of The Borough in Farnham town centre is to be closed for up to seven days starting next Wednesday (November 29) for gas works.

Southern Gas Networks have been granted permission to lay a new gas service pipe outside Preferred Travel near the busy Royal Deer crossroads at 25 The Borough.

The works require a lane of The Borough to be closed between Wednesday, November 29 and Tuesday, December 5.

Openreach is also set to close two roads in Lower Bourne for fibre cabling and jointing works next week; Lodge Hill Road on November 23 and Bourne Grove on November 23 and 24, both at the junctions with Tilford Road.

Temporary traffic lights will also be in place in:

*A287 Frensham Road, opposite Wellbourne in Vicarage Hill, from November 28 to 30 for repairs to a leaking stopcock by South East Water.

*A325 Farnborough Road, opposite the shopping area, on November 29 for cherry picker works by T-Mobile.

*A325 Wrecclesham Hill, 80 metres north of the junction with Echo Barn Lane, from November 28 to 29 for the installation of a new poly duct by Openreach.

*B3001 Farnham Road, Tilford, near Holmwood, from November 28 to 30 for overhead fibre works also by Openreach.

*B3001 Waverley Lane, just past the junction with Moor Park Road, on November 24 for the replacing of missing bricks on a culvert structure by Surrey County Council.

*B3005 Alma Lane, opposite Heather Court Lodge, from November 24 to 28 for works by South East Water.

*B3208 Badshot Lea Road, opposite 107A, from November 23 to 27 again for works by South East Water.

*Tilford Road, Churt, outside the entrance to High Meadow, on November 22 for further fibre cabling and jointing works by Openreach.
