SAMANTHA Nutbeen is limbering up as she takes on the London marathon this April for the first time on behalf of the MS Society which fights to improve treatment and care to help people living with multiple sclerosis.

Samantha is hoping to raise a minimum of £2,000 for the MS Society. She said: “Supporting this charity is close to my heart because of my best friend Amie and her mum. Since knowing her, I have had my eyes opened to the emotional torment of MS and been utterly moved by her beautiful personality and ability to care so much for others, especially her mum and yet has absolutely nothing to complain about.

“A total inspiration for all carers, MS sufferers and their families. I need all the support I can get from our community to motivate me through the 26.2 long miles, and hopefully be kind enough to donate towards and raise awareness of this amazing charity.”

To raise more awareness and help boost her total, she is hosting a Spring Shindig at Licked Bar and Nightclub in Farnham on Friday, April 1, from 7pm till late.

Local band The Cobbles and a special guest will be playing. There will be a free photo booth, a candy cart, bar and a raffle with a number of prizes donated by local businesses to be won .

Tickets are £12 and can be purchased online via www.facebook.com/springshindig or www.jumblebee.co.uk/springshindig or by calling 01252 656444 and posted out for free.

Alternatively if people would just like to donate, this can be done on www.justgiving.com/samnutbeen.
