ST Nicolas’ School in Church Crookham congratulated year 10 students, Miranda Watson and Cate Golding, for really raising the bar in this year’s local heat of the Rotary Young Chef competition.

A competition which tests inspiring young chefs not only on their cooking abilities, but also their presentation, timing, budgeting and organisation skills.

Walking away with first place was Miranda, while Cate followed closely behind as runner-up – both girls then competed in the district semi-final at South Thames College in London.

Miranda won again after facing strong competition from 10 other contestants, and is through to the district final taking place later this month.
