WILD weather caused mayhem in Farnham on Tuesday, bringing down trees and causing power cuts across the area.

Strong winds brought down a large poplar tree in Shortheath Road, miraculously missing pedestrians and motorists but blocking the road for much of the day.

And 390 homes at Elstead were without electricity for much of Tuesday and Wednesday after several trees fell down on to overhead power cables.
