1) Farnham Maltings Monthly Market (Saturday, February 3, 9.00am-4.00pm)

This event happens on the first Saturday of every month, with an entry price of only £1.

But, if you are a member, Instagram follower or aged under 15, entrance is free of charge.

For the past 40 years, this market has been part of Farnham’s life.

There’s something for everyone here too, as you can find everything from antiques, artisan bread and chic vintage to classic vinyl, local designers and restored furniture.

This buzzing market will feature over 200 stalls for you to wander round and a café providing hot food and drinks.

What a great way for the whole family to spend a Saturday.

2) Kids Quiz - fundraiser for Greater Farnham Woodcraft Folk (Saturday, February 3, 12.30pm-3.00pm)

Head along to this fun quiz at Hale Institute Village Hall this weekend for an afternoon for “kids and kids at heart”.

There’s no prize but there will be rounds that get the whole family moving about, dancing, singing, drawing, sculpting, navigating, building and more.

The challenges will start at around 1-1.15pm after lunch, which is included in the ticket price of £5 each.

3) Chaos Groove - Live at The Plough, Farnham (Saturday, February 3, 8.30pm-11.30pm)

Do you love live music?

Well if you do, The Plough is the place for you to be this Saturday.

There’s even time to have something to eat before the music starts and the fun begins.

This Farnham venue offers something for everyone, with space to relax, a pool table or darts for those of you who are more competitive.

Get a group together and head down to this great live gig.

4) GHQ Militaria and Collectors Fair (Sunday, February 4, 10am-2pm), Farnham Maltings.

Perfect for collectors of military objects, this fair costs £4 to enter and is free for under 14s as long as they are with a paying adult.

All sorts will be on offer, including helmets, medals, uniforms, cap badges and much more.

You can also bring along any of the listed items to sell on the day and hand them into the front table.

5) May The Toys Be With You (open until April 14) at The Willis Museum and Sainsbury Gallery, Basingstoke.

Calling all Star Wars fans!

This free exhibition has come to Basingstoke and is perfect for both little and big Jedi.

From X-Wing fighters to lightsabers, this is a collection full of Star Wars toys and original cinema posters.

Star Wars has fired imaginations since its release 40 years ago and with the latest Star Wars film still fresh in all our minds, what better time to head to The Willis Museum and Sainsbury Gallery.

6) WH Allen: By The Sea (open until March 3) at Alton’s Allen Gallery.

This exhibition returns for another year, this time featuring a selection of seascapes from the Hampshire County Council Art Collection.

The seascapes are mainly in watercolour and feature views from across the British Isles and France.

There’s plenty to do for younger visitors, including a table top seaside safari, so bring the whole family along.

7) Jane Austen’s House Museum (On display from February until August)

This year is the 200th anniversary of the publication of Jane Austen’s novels “Northanger Abbey” and “Persuasion”.

These were the last of her novels to be published, but sadly Jane never saw them in print.

Themes of family and friendship in both “Northanger Abbey” and within the Austen family will be explored through the museum’s displays.

You’ll be able to discover what role going to society balls, writing letters and reading novels had on both real and imagined characters.

8) Farnham Knights present Super Bowl LII (Sunday, February 4, 10pm until the early hours of Monday, February 5).

Join the Knights American Football Club as they show the best of the National Football Conference face the champions of the American Football Conference.

It’ll see the New England Patriots take on the Philadelphia Eagles, with Justin Timberlake taking to the stage for the halftime show.

9) Farnham Rugby Union Football Club showing of Six Nations - Farnham RUFC will be showing three fixtures over the weekend.

The Six Nations games will be shown at the clubhouse on huge screens, with access to a bar and a great atmosphere.

The times for each fixture are:

Wales V Scotland (Saturday, February 3 at 2.15pm)

France V Ireland (Saturday, February 3 at 4.45pm)

Italy V England (Sunday, February 4 at 3.00pm).

It’s open to everyone so turn up, get comfy and enjoy.

10) Butterflies in the Glasshouse, RHS Wisley is an unforgettable tropical retreat for your whole family.

This event, sponsored by McCarthy & Stone, allows you to seek out over 50 exotic species of butterfly as they fly freely through the Glasshouse Tropical Zone.

The butterflies will showcase themselves amongst lush plantings, such as palm trees, bananas and thriving aquatic plants.

These guests will remain at RHS Wisley until March 4 and to save 10 per cent on ticket prices, book in advance.
