A TREE on the A325 at Wrecclesham was blown over in the fierce winds of Tuesday afternoon, bringing with it a telegraph pole which narrowly missed a van travelling towards the town centre.

A Surrey fire and ambulance crew was on the scene, along with Farnham police, soon after receiving a call from a member of the public at 2 pm.
