A SOCIABLE walking group for older people in Farnham was set to relocate this week ahead of the Brightwells Gostrey Centre’s impending move to the Farnham Memorial Hall.

Farnham Walking for Health has launched circular walks from the Gostrey Centre in Dogflud Way every week since it was established in February 2007.

However, as of yesterday (Tuesday), the group will instead begin and end its weekly strolls from Farnham Leisure Centre, meeting at 10.30am every Tuesday.

All walks are approximately three miles long, last around one hour and are completely free to join. Although aimed at older residents, there is no age limit and anyone interested can just turn up on the day.

Walking for Health is a national scheme sponsored by the Ramblers Association. Each walk typically attracts between 20 and 30 walkers.
