THE renowned Farnham Youth Choir will step-up its festive programme with concerts at the United Reformed Church and Farnham Maltings over the coming week.

Following the junior choir’s Christmas Celebration at the URC church on Saturday, the youth choir will return to the South Street venue for its Christmas Words & Music concert this Sunday (December 10) from 6.30pm to 7.45pm.

Interspersed between audience carols will not only be choir items but carefully chosen poems and prose that reflect on the Christmas story. Entry is free of charge.

This will be followed by the Christmas Gala Concert, a highlight in the choir’s season, at the Maltings on Saturday, December 16, again between 6.30pm and 7.45pm.

Farnham Youth Choir will be joined by the boys, girls and alumni choirs to perform a selection of songs from their Christmas repertoire, including carols for the audience, all in a festive atmosphere of fun and celebration.
